Workshop Off Lead Control Of Your Dog. Includes exercises to give you confidence in walking your dog off lead. Work towards that quick response when you call your dog to you no matter what is going on. Be able to stop your dog immediately - helpful if they have an urge to chase wildlife etc. Be able to walk your dogs past different distractions off the lead. Teach your dog self control - instead of doing their own thing, lets get them controlling themselves and asking you first if it's okay to do something. Saturday 2nd February How Stress Effects Your Dogs Behaviour. Learn how stress affects your dogs behaviour and the side effects it can have on their health. What signs to look for, prevention and how to deal with anxiety. Saturday 23rd February Introduction To Agility. A Free introduction to the sport of agility. Saturday 29th March Flyball Is Flyball for you and your dog? Does your dog enjoy playing with tennis balls? Flyball is a fun rely race where each dog in a team of four takes it turn to jump over four jumps to retrieve the tennis ball from the flyball box and bring it back to their owner by jumping back over the four jumps. Learn how to use this powerful method of training to teach your dog new behaviours. Have some fun teaching your dog all sorts of tricks, whilst providing them with the mental stimulation they require. Saturday 17th May Introduction To Agility. Saturday 21st June Scentwork. Have fun teaching your dog how to use its nose to find things. Hide objects for them to find. Lay Tracks for them to follow and find objects at the end. Saturday 30th August Fear / Aggression in Dogs What causes these emotions in our dogs? An insight into why these problems occur and how we can help prevent them happening. This workshop is not designed to cure these problems but to provide information to help prevent these problems occuring. Anyone with dogs who have these problems will have the opportunity to discuss organising an assessment of their dog and a behaviour modification programme with me.
