The Young Kennel Club (YKC) is for young dog handlers between the ages of 6-24 years.

Our Training School supports the YKC scheme and encourages young dog handlers to be involved in our classes and become members of the YKC.

Members will be encouraged to:

Learn how to care for and train their dogs

Learn how to develop courtesy, sportmanship, and self-discipline

Learn responsibility in looking after their dog

Be able to enjoy all activities connected with dogs and have a chance to qualify for Crufts Dog Show

Catagories members can specialise in are:

Agility

Competitive Obedience

Flyball

Handling

Heelwork to Music

Jumping

Stakes (Showing)

Plus other awards

Membership includes:

Membership Pack, Badge, Card and Gift

Quarterly editions of the YKC Newsletter

Access to YKC web pages

Free admission to Crufts and Discover Dogs

Opportunities to join in competitions and training

Help and advice on all canine activities
